Trader Joe's recalls certain frozen vegetables

5/4/2016

Trader Joe's, Monrovia, Calif., issued a recall on certain store brand frozen vegetables. Trader Joe's said one of its frozen vegetable suppliers alerted the company that the products, from any lot containing the code "BF," might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall includes Trader Joe's Organic Peas, Trader Joe's Petite Peas, Trader Joe's Organic Whole Green Beans, Trader Joe's Broccoli Florettes and Trader Joe's Organic Foursome.

Trader Joe's said it removed all of the products from this supplier from store shelves "out of an abundance of caution." The retailer said it urges customers who purchased any of the affected vegetable products to discard them or return them to any Trader Joe's store for a full refund.
