SGS acquires stake in Transparency-One

SGS, Geneva, said it acquired a 20 percent stake in Transparency-One (formerly Trace One). Boston-based Transparency-One is a platform for supply chain visibility and risk management. It maps the entire supply chain, tracks compliance and provides analytics to proactively manage business risks and help companies interconnect and share meaningful product and facility data.

SGS said the expertise it can now offer with the Transparency-One platform will help ensure safe supply chains and protect customers.

"I am very happy with this partnership, which is fully in line with our TIC 4.0 strategic initiative," said Frankie Ng, CEO of SGS. "We will continue to partner with selected technology providers to enhance and extend our scope of services."
