Red Gold sponsors the 2015 Luke Bryan Farm Tour

Red Gold Tomatoes, an Elwood, Ind.-based processor and packer of tomato products under its own brand and retailers’ store brands, said it will sponsor Luke Bryan’s 2015 Farm Tour, a concert experience set on farms across America that also helps benefit farm families.

The Farm Tour, now in its seventh year, brings attendees to local farms, vineyards and other local outdoor venues to enjoy music, connect with local family farms and help support the future of farming. A portion of ticket proceeds help provide local college scholarships to the newest generation of farming families, Red Gold said.

“You’re lucky if you grew up on a farm or at least were close to the agricultural community. The good values that come with this type of upbringing are extraordinary,” said Colt Reichart, a fourth-generation family member with Red Gold Tomatoes. “I learned this very early being raised in a farming community and living it every day at Red Gold, where we know our 52 family farmers by name.

“As we realized how much we have in common with Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour, connecting with local family-owned farms and providing scholarships — we recognized we were a match on many levels,” he added.

The Luke Bryan Farm Tour, which begins September 30 in Fort Wayne, Ind., travels through Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama before wrapping up in Georgia on October 11, Red Gold said. Specific dates, times and tickets can be found at www.lukebryan.com/farmtour.

“Red Gold is proud to be the stage sponsor of the Luke Bryan Farm Tour,” Reichart said. “At Red Gold, we know the importance of the role that farmers play in our community, which is why for over four generations, we have been working closely with our tomato growers to ensure that every one of our family farms will be sustainably growing crops for generations to come.

“One of the many reasons we partner with multi-generational farm families is that they’re not just caring for their land for today…they’re thinking of the next generation, and the one after that,” he continued. “The Farm Tour supports a cause that is near to our heart by helping to build and promote a future for all farming families!”

Red Gold said the sponsorship is part of a broader program Red Gold will launch in late September to celebrate #FamilyFarms. In addition to the Farm Tour, Red Gold will also sponsor the Pool Party during Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa 2016. The four-day concert event, held in Riviera Maya Mexico in January, features Dierks Bentley and Cole Swindell, as well as other special guests.
