Loblaw to close 52 stores

In a July 23 press release announcing the results for its fiscal 2015 second quarter, Brampton, Ontario-based Loblaw Companies Ltd., parent company to Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart and other Canadian retail banners, said its restructuring plan calls for the closure of 52 unprofitable stores during the next 12 months. The closures include a wide range of banners and formats.
