Jon Peters appointed to president of BENEO Inc.

BENEO GmbH, a Germany-based manufacturer of functional ingredients, announced the appointment of Jon Peters to the position of president of BENEO Inc. In this role, he will lead the company’s business for the Americas Region (United States, Canada, Mexico and South America) from its U.S. headquarters in Morris Plains, N.J.

“BENEO’s strong commitment to science, research and technical support has made it a leader in delivering functional ingredients to manufacturers seeking to provide consumers with products that are natural, nutritious [and] tasty and which also contribute to healthier lifestyles,” Peters said. “This is truly an exciting opportunity to build on BENEO’s already excellent reputation while continuing to expand the organization with an expert team that enhances our value to customers in the Americas region.”

Peters indicated that BENEO Inc. will build the Americas team to further translate the product portfolio benefits into solutions that meet consumer needs. As an example of this focus, the United States-based application technology team recently was expanded to develop and communicate regional product concepts to the diverse markets of the Americas. Additional sales and nutrition science resources will also be added within the region over the next several months.

Peters brings to BENEO diverse experience and proven leadership in a variety of sales, marketing, operations and management positions, serving for more than 20 years in the human and animal nutrition industries. Prior to joining BENEO, Peters was senior director with DSM Nutritional Products Inc.
