H-E-B seeks innovative Texas products

3/3/2017

Representatives of H-E-B are traveling throughout Texas to encourage residents and businesses to enter product creations in the company’s 2017 “H-E-B Primo Picks Quest for Texas Best” competition. During meetings that are open to the public, H-E-B leaders advise attendees on product development and the best ways to submit delicious original entries into the contest.

The competition, which began Feb. 22, is open to legal residents of Texas who are at least 18 years old as well as legally organized business entities that have operations in Texas.  Entries must be food or beverage products that are “produced, manufactured, grown or harvested substantially in Texas,” according to H-E-B. The deadline for submissions is April 5.

The Quest for Texas Best competition has introduced more than 135 private brand products to H-E-B’s store shelves since its debut in 2014.

Last year’s Grand Prize winner, Chef Julie Albertson of Kyle, Texas, received $25,000 for her Texas Pie Company Original Pie Dough Puck.
