C&S Wholesale Grocers to create 500 new jobs in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf said that Keene, N.H.-based C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc. (C&S) will create at least 500 new jobs with a new expansion project in Bethlehem, Pa. C&S will expand its East Coast operations and lease an existing facility several miles away from its current operation in Northampton County.

The company plans to invest at least $15 million on the project and has also committed to creating at least 500 new full-time jobs and retaining its 1,980 existing employees statewide over the next three years.

The company received a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development, including $1,290,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be distributed upon creation of the new jobs, the Wolf administration said.
