A&P private brand name, fruitcake recipe for sale

Northbrook, Ill.-based Hilco Global, which is liquidating the assets of the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P), is seeking a buyer for the Jane Parker private brand name, previously found on the bankrupt supermarket chain’s store brand baked goods –– and most recently used on a holiday fruitcake reintroduced to consumers in 2009.  A&P’s original fruitcake recipe and the JaneParker.com domain name are said to be part of the sale, according to an Oct. 3 article on NorthJersey.com.
