    Editors’ Picks: Store Brands seeks best new products

    Store Brands is currently welcoming entries for its second-annual Editors’ Picks product competition

    If you introduced an innovative, high-performing or otherwise extraordinary private brand product in the past year, it’s time to get recognized. Store Brands is seeking entries for its second-annual Editors’ Picks awards. The application deadline is Feb. 28, while the deadline for submitting product samples is March 31.

    The 2017 Editors’ Picks awards will recognize the best food and non-food products available for private labeling that were introduced between January and December 2016. The winning products will be showcased in a supplement that will accompany the May issue of Store Brands. In addition, each winner will have the opportunity to have its product featured in a Store Brands Editors’ Picks Sample Box sent to private label executives of the top 200 chains.

    The program is open to private label manufacturers and retailers that self-manufacture their private brand products. Store Brands’ editors will judge the products on innovation, taste (for food and beverage entries) and functionality.

    Companies may submit multiple entries, but each entry requires a separate application. A $60 per product fee is required to enter the competition.
