Southeastern Grocers, Giant Food announce store brand recalls

Southeastern Grocers, Jacksonville, Fla., said it recalled 12-ounce packages of its private label Southern Home Fat Free American Singles in all BI-LO and Harveys stores. The cheese product could contain small pieces of plastic packaging. Both BI-LO and Harveys stores have removed the product from store shelves in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. The recall does not affect Southeastern Grocers' Winn-Dixie stores.

Landover, Md.-based Giant Food LLC, meanwhile, said it issued a recall for its Giant Food Honey Wheat Bread. The store brand bread could contain milk, an allergen that is not listed on the ingredient label.
