Swiss Farms adds to coffee lineup

Drive-thru retail chain Swiss Farms, headquartered in Broomall, Pa., said it added a seasonal flavor to its Swiss Farms premium line of three coffee roasts. The original premium line launched in June. The new flavor, available for a limited time, is Swiss Farms Pumpkin Soother Coffee, described as a shooter of pumpkin and white chocolate sauces that is available hot or iced. Customers have the option to top off the beverage with whipped cream or use Swiss Farms Premium Milk as creamer.

The premium coffee choices introduced earlier include carefully crafted, hand-selected roasts: Swiss Farms Signature Roast (a Rainforest Alliance-certified roast; dark roast with notes of dried fruit and spice), Swiss Farms Sunrise Roast (an organic Fair Trade-certified roast; blonde-style, medium roast with notes of milk chocolate, bright citrus fruit and a floral finish), and Swiss Farms Decaf Signature Roast (a decaffeinated medium to dark roast, which boasts notes of dark chocolate and smooth flavors of nuts and berries). The decaffeinated roast is made using the Swiss Water process, the retailer said, which relies on pure green coffee extract and proprietary carbon technology to remove caffeine from green coffee beans without chemicals.

Unlike many other Fair Trade, organic and "environmentally friendly" roasts with natural ingredients, the prepared coffee products are affordably priced, Swiss Farms said — a 16-ounce cup is $1.49 and a 20-ounce cup is $1.65. Swiss Signature Iced Coffee is available for $1.79 for a 16-ounce cup and $2.09 for a 24 ounce cup.

The coffee program is part of Swiss Farms' continuing initiative to listen to consumer needs and offer products with more wholesome ingredients. Swiss Farms said it plans to offer a limited-time peppermint coffee flavor this coming winter.

“Swiss Farms has been the local, convenient destination to grab coffee, breakfast and other on-the-go foods for almost 50 years. Our goal is to continue to offer quick and easy solutions to maintaining a healthy balanced lifestyle,” said Scott Simon, Swiss Farms president and CEO.
